Scientific research and technology transfer

Center for Agricultural Science Services was formerly a unit under the College of Agriculture with a organization structure of specialized researchers and a lot of experience in research and transfer of science and technology. Therefore, the Center has made many practical contributions to the development of the Mekong Delta. Some results have been achieved such as:

Associate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hong Dan District, Bac Lieu Province to carry out research and technology transfer to develop an efficient and sustainable agricultural production model such as: Revitalizing rice varieties Mot Bui Do from sturdy to soft ones; Experimenting and transferring rice varieties with special prospects have successfully crossbred with the typical Hong Dan rice variety Mot Bui Hong; Transferring salt-tolerant gravel rice varieties capable of growing in salinity conditions up to 10 parts per thousand; Researching and successfully transferring the production process of Tram Co fish sauce and Ngan Dua rice wine, and transferring agricultural production processes on vegetables, straw, fruit trees, aquatic products, ...

Cooperated with Tien Giang Center for Applied Research and Science and Technology Services to implement the topic "Applying technical solutions - integrated management to develop Cat Hoa Loc mango in Hoa Hung - Cai Be area - Tien Giang according to GLOBALGAP standard ”aiming to comprehensively develop mango industry generally and Hoa Loc mango in Cai Be district in particular.
